Amberg (usc). For 15 men and women, the certificate that they had completed the course to become a nursing assistant or carer for people with dementia was probably the best Christmas present they could give themselves. They had almost nine months of cramming so that they could face new professional challenges after their qualification course at the ISE language and vocational training center in Amberg.

Nursing assistants with additional training - carers in accordance with Section 87 b Paragraph 3 SGB XI
People in need of care with dementia-related impairments, mental illnesses or intellectual disabilities usually have a significant general need for supervision and care. The legal regulation is intended to create the financial basis for hiring additional staff in fully inpatient care facilities. For many job seekers, this opens up a new opportunity to find a job that is subject to social security contributions.

40 happy course participants
With the successful completion of another training measure in the area of nursing assistance and care, which the ISE language and vocational training center once again carried out on behalf of the Federal Employment Agency in Amberg, almost 40 women and men set the course for their professional future.

Nursing assistant – responsibility and perseverance
Despite the economic crisis, the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center was able to congratulate 60 percent of the participants on an employment contract subject to social insurance contributions before the course ended. “But the remaining course participants will also be able to be integrated into the job market very soon,” says Dorothea Prechtl, course leader of the nursing course.
Carers with work
Caregivers successfully trained again
The management of the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center is rightly proud of the work of its lecturers in the nursing sector: in times of economic crisis, it is worthy of honor to know that half of the course participants are already employed before the end of the course. In addition, this was not the first successful qualification to become a carer in accordance with Section 87b SGB
ISE carers shine
A year ago, ISE Sprach- und Berufsbildungszentrum GmbH carried out the first qualification for carers in accordance with Section 87 SGB XI. At this point in time, many nursing homes did not yet agree to this innovation or were still in negotiations with the nursing care insurance companies about who should pay for the care staff. Ms. Daubert-Siegler, head of nursing services at the Heilig-Geist-Stift senior center, took an early interest in the graduates of the first course. Despite initially poor forecasts, the Bürgerspitalstiftung was one of the first to hire two carers per care facility. Half a year has passed since then. Reason for the management of the ISE and the course leader at the time to seek a conversation with Ms. Daubert-Siegler.
