20 years of ISE – 20 integration courses

20th integration course in the 20th year ends with very good results

People have been learning the German language at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg and Sulzbach-Rosenberg for 20 years. Significantly, the 20th integration course, which the ISE carried out on behalf of the Federal Office for Migration (BAMF), was supposed to end in the ISE's anniversary year - and with the usual very good success.

Integration course increases labor market opportunities

Participation in an integration course gives immigrants the chance to achieve oral and written communication skills that enable success in the labor market and integration into society. Course leader Johann Lengenfelder found this confirmed once again by the fact that two of the original 20 course participants found jobs before the end of the course.

The remaining 18 course participants took the final exam and, with one exception, all passed it. With their very good results in the German test, the participants have proven that they have a good basic knowledge of the German language, that they can find their way linguistically in important everyday situations and can actively participate in conversations on everyday topics.

Preparation for the naturalization test

The B1 certificate, which was ceremonially presented to the course participants, proves that they understand simple facts and can present them verbally and in writing. These participants are currently successfully taking part in professional qualification measures and are thus preparing for their entry into working life. In addition, all candidates successfully completed the orientation course, which imparted basic knowledge in the areas of economics and social studies, which are of great importance for social integration and prepare immigrants who want to accept German citizenship for the naturalization test.

On behalf of the entire ISE team, I wish all participants in the integration course from December 1, 2008 to June 26, 2009 all the best for their future professional and private lives.

Hans Lengenfelder
