Be there – JoBi.regional on April 16, 2026

The work and education working group of the Intermunicipal Alliance for Migration and Integration of the city of Amberg and the Amberg-Sulzbach district, together with the alliance of regional education providers, will again be organizing a job and education fair “JoBi.regional” in 2026. The event certainly offers a good opportunity to talk to companies and find out about open training or job positions.

On Thursday, April 16th, the job and education fair “JoBi.regional” will take place for the first time in Sulzbach-Rosenberg from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The venue is the Amberg-Sulzbach Adult Education Center (LCC) at Obere Gartenstrasse 3. With its fifth edition, the trade fair is also celebrating a small anniversary and is continuing its successful path as an established platform for career orientation and recruiting skilled workers in the region.

The event will be opened at 9 a.m. by District Administrator Richard Reisinger in the foyer of the LCC. Afterwards, more than 30 exhibitors will present themselves in the adult education center's course rooms on the first floor. Regional companies from a wide range of industries, educational institutions and public institutions are represented, providing comprehensive information about training, work and further education opportunities.

One focus of the content is on the topic of professional qualifications: at 10.30 a.m., the employment agency will provide information about its “Zukunftsstarter plus” initiative in a one-hour lecture. This is aimed in particular at low-skilled unemployed people, those returning to work and employees who can no longer practice the job they originally trained in and are looking for new perspectives.

The trade fair is organized by the Intercommunal Alliance for Migration and Integration of the city of Amberg and the Amberg-Sulzbach district in collaboration with numerous regional partners from education and the labor market, including the Vocational Training Center (bfz), the Eckert Schools, the Kolping Education Center, the vhs Amberg-Sulzbach as well as the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and the job center.

The aim of “JoBi” is to easily bring people together with potential employers and educational institutions. In a personal atmosphere, contacts can be made and, ideally, concrete steps such as internships, trial work or even employment and training relationships can be initiated.

The event is expressly aimed at everyone who is interested - from career starters to experienced specialists to people with and without a migration background. The (pre)final classes of middle and secondary schools in the city and district are also particularly addressed.

Entry is free.
