Spelling and grammar in application documents

Spelling and Grammar

Most computer programs that you use to create your documents have a spelling aid that works very well. Nevertheless, the ISE employment agencies continue to receive applications that are riddled with spelling errors in both the cover letter and the CV. Use the spelling aids of computer programs and Also see the error notes for grammatical errors! Be sure to have your application proofread by a third party so that you can correct any spelling, stylistic and punctuation errors before sending your application documents. Otherwise, spelling, stylistic and punctuation errors will be interpreted as superficial and disinterested.

“If you call someone by the initials, there is actually no reason to show special respect by capitalizing them. In letters, you can now write the salutation pronouns you and her with their possessive pronouns (yours, yours, etc.) in lowercase or uppercase letters: Dear Ernst, thank you very much for your photo in which you and your sister are together your colleagues... The polite salutation remains great: Dear Ms. Müller, as you have heard, we offer you and your relatives..." (Source: Duden; Courtesy address Duden)
