ISE successfully retrains
In March 2008, retraining to become a warehouse logistics specialist (IHK) began at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg. A new challenge. Both for the retraining participants who, after years of working life, now have to go back to school and also have to prepare at home for what happens in class and ultimately, of course, for the demanding exams at the IHK Regensburg. As well as for the retraining manager Kai Rachowski, who pursued the goal of bringing the retraining to a successful conclusion as usual.
ISE – technical school founded
Nyour nursing school
This year, ISE Sprach- und Berufsbildungszentrum GmbH founded the ISE technical school for geriatric care and general education gGmbH, which is based in Amberg. The decisive factors for founding the subsidiary are the sustained success of the nursing courses that ISE has been running for many years, as well as the excellent career prospects for nursing staff in general and qualified nursing staff in particular.
ECDL/ICDL certificates – Easter at ISE
In October last year, an ECDL course began at the ISE language and vocational training center in Amberg, which was expanded to include knowledge of Linux and network technology. The course participants were both part-time and full-time employees who began the course with a wide range of previous knowledge. For course leader Max Schobert, this posed an organizational challenge because the lessons had to be designed in terms of time and content so that all course participants could grasp all the training content and ultimately pass the final module exams.
ISE successful further training
ISE course in warehouse and logistics completed
Another warehousing and logistics course at the ISE language and vocational training center in Amberg ended in mid-January 2010. What was particularly pleasing about this course was the great interest shown by the course participants in the different teaching content, which ranged from imparting knowledge in the area of warehouse logistics to IT content and preparation for the driving license test for forklift trucks. All course participants worked attentively and concentratedly in class and developed enormous cohesion within the class.
Nursing assistant proud of new profession
Nursing assistant – responsibility and perseverance
Despite the economic crisis, the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center was able to congratulate 60 percent of the participants on an employment contract subject to social insurance contributions before the course ended. “But the remaining course participants will also be able to be integrated into the job market very soon,” says Dorothea Prechtl, course leader of the nursing course.
New ISE center
The center of the ISE in Amberg
Managing director Peter Blendowski happily informed the ISE employees in December 2009 that the ISE language and vocational training center would be moving into new premises at the beginning of this year. In order not to bring ongoing lessons to a standstill, the move will not take place all at once, but will be carried out gradually. “The new premises are centrally located and modernly equipped. “In addition, the infrastructural situation for the course participants and ISE employees couldn’t be better,” concluded Blendowski.
ISE carers shine
A year ago, ISE Sprach- und Berufsbildungszentrum GmbH carried out the first qualification for carers in accordance with Section 87 SGB XI. At this point in time, many nursing homes did not yet agree to this innovation or were still in negotiations with the nursing care insurance companies about who should pay for the care staff. Ms. Daubert-Siegler, head of nursing services at the Heilig-Geist-Stift senior center, took an early interest in the graduates of the first course. Despite initially poor forecasts, the Bürgerspitalstiftung was one of the first to hire two carers per care facility. Half a year has passed since then. Reason for the management of the ISE and the course leader at the time to seek a conversation with Ms. Daubert-Siegler.
Learn from each other – live together
“Now I understand the Germans and they understand me.”
With these words the 23rd integration course at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Sulzbach-Rosenberg ended. Course leader Gabriele Stucke is rightly proud of her course participants, who have made excellent progress in the German language during the course.
20 years of ISE – 20 integration courses
20th integration course in the 20th year ends with very good results
People have been learning the German language at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg and Sulzbach-Rosenberg for 20 years. Significantly, the 20th integration course, which the ISE carried out on behalf of the Federal Office for Migration (BAMF), was supposed to end in the ISE's anniversary year - and with the usual very good success.
