From March to October 2014, participants from 15 countries took part in the integration course at the ISE language and vocational training center in Amberg. The lessons not only taught the basics of the German language, but also practiced speaking on a daily basis.
In the “Life in Germany” course, which took place after the integration course, the participants received a lot of information about politics, history, education, work and the social system in the Federal Republic of Germany.

And whether! 20 course participants from 13 nations learned and laughed together, spoke and wrote, doubted their successes and experienced wonderful moments of success during the integration course at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg. The first visit to the doctor without an escort or a visit to an authority without an interpreter are milestones on the path to social participation in our country. And for the language course participants, it is very tangible evidence of their learning progress.

This is what the ISE integration courses have stood for for 21 years.
The first “German language course” started in the Rotkreuzhaus in Amberg in 1989. Over time, the ISE has accompanied more than 8,000 new citizens from many countries around the world on their first steps in Germany.
Before the introduction of the Immigration Act in 2005, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) used a strict approval process to select qualified educational providers to run integration courses. ISE’s application was successful – and its work still is. The 28th course started in January.

With these words the 23rd integration course at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Sulzbach-Rosenberg ended. Course leader Gabriele Stucke is rightly proud of her course participants, who have made excellent progress in the German language during the course.

People have been learning the German language at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg and Sulzbach-Rosenberg for 20 years. Significantly, the 20th integration course, which the ISE carried out on behalf of the Federal Office for Migration (BAMF), was supposed to end in the ISE's anniversary year - and with the usual very good success.

Immigrants have been our customers for 20 years. With this experience, the ISE German teachers can prepare course participants even more effectively for the final exams of integration courses.
