It is possible: take life in new directions - the ESF course shows success

With the qualification to become a nursing assistant for geriatric care, the fourth ESF project at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center Amberg has now successfully ended in close cooperation with the AM-AS job center, which was financed, among other things, by the European Social Fund (ESF).

Since 2014, participants at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring in Amberg have been learning relevant theory from the career profile of geriatric nurses.

ESF qualification creates the future!

Amberg, August 8, 2014. The two project supervisors Peter Blendowski and Roland Domogalla are pleased that, for the second time, long-term unemployed people have the opportunity to gain professional qualifications through the ESF project “Qualification to become a nursing assistant” in cooperation with the AM-AS job center in order to gain a foothold on the job market again. Since March 24, 2014, participants at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring in Amberg have been learning relevant specialist theory from the career profile of geriatric nurses. By the end of the course on December 19, 2014, the participants will have completed two modules in the nursing area and one care module.

Continuing on the road to success – qualifying as a nursing assistant

Peter Blendowski (ISE project manager of the ESF project) and Andrea Gaßner (supervisor, lecturer and administrator in the project) really cannot complain about the learning progress of the 22 participants. After completing the second module, almost 100% of the participants were able to acquire the childcare certificate after passing theoretical and practical exams. This qualification entitles you to work as a carer in nursing homes (according to Section 87b SGBXI). After the many teaching and practical units, the participants can now look forward to a successful completion and better opportunities on the job market.

Opportunities for unemployed people interested in the care sector

With the ESF-funded project qualification to become a nursing assistant for the long-term unemployed, the ISE language and vocational training center, in cooperation with the job center AM-AS, specifically supports unemployed employees in improving their professional opportunities on the Bavarian labor market.
